I started in photography before high school, experimenting with my dad’s old 35mm viewfinder camera (I couldn’t tell you what kind anymore). I shot for my high school yearbook and kept at it through college.
After graduating, I moved to Washington State and fell into landscape photography, taking in Olympic National Park and the North Cascades. Moving back to Vermont, I rediscovered the beauty of New England and the Green Mountains, and I’ve spent the years since exploring here and in Northern New York, often with friends, chasing the best light. I love shooting all of New England, but especially the coast of Maine, the Green Mountains, and the Adirondacks.
I’ve also been part of the Lenses on the Land program at Shelburne Farms for years. After we lost the friend who built it, Marshall Webb, I’ve been working to re-launch it.
Most weekends, though, you’ll find me at my kids’ swim meets, cross-country races, tennis matches, and school concerts, camera in hand. I share those photos for free in the Events section of this site.
I love traveling too, and have also photographed Spain, France (including the WWII landing sites), Germany, Italy, and Greece.
This isn’t my profession, but I take it seriously. My work has been in a few exhibitions and private collections, and some of it is available as stock through Shutterstock. If you’re interested in a print or licensing, or just want to talk photography, reach out.

I don’t sell or share your personal information with anyone.
If you download a full-sized event photo, I record the email address you provide, along with your IP address, to help prevent scraping and other abuse, plus which files were downloaded and when. I won’t email you for any reason. I keep that record indefinitely as my own reference; email me anytime if you’d like it deleted.
This site uses a few cookies: some are required for things like the photo download workflow to work, and some are optional Google Analytics cookies that help me see how many people visit. Google Analytics is operated by Google in the United States, so using it means some of your data is processed outside the EU/UK; Google's own terms provide safeguards for that transfer. Separately from Google Analytics, this site also keeps its own simple visit counts, like which pages get viewed and on what day, so I can see what's popular. This doesn't use a cookie or store your IP address: each visit is turned into a one-way scrambled value that resets every day, so it can't identify you or be linked across days or pages.
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete any personal information I hold about you, or withdraw your consent to Analytics cookies, at any time.
