The 2025 CVU Relays offered a challenging yet exciting start to the season for South Burlington's boys cross-country team, as athletes battled both heat and hills on a rolling course in Hinesburg. Unlike a traditional individual-start race, the Relays split each team into legs run in succession, adding a different tactical dimension to the early-season opener. Despite the tough conditions, the Wolfpack delivered a strong showing with numerous runners improving on their times from last year's event, led by Peter Lyon, Patrick Donoghue, Dan Jackson, Jack Donovan, Max Frostman, Asher Clifford, and Leo Frank. Several athletes also earned spots on the South Burlington course records list for the CVU Relays, headlined by Odin Cloutier (11:39) and Jack Henry (11:44), with Jack Donovan, Dan Jackson, Asher Clifford, James Channon, Spencer Leavey, and James Conway also making the list. The updated course, now centered around the lower softball field, proved fast and competitive, and South Burlington's consistent improvements underscored the team's disciplined training and early-season momentum. It was an encouraging opener that set the stage for another strong year of racing.
