SBHS Cross Country @ 34th Annual Woods Trail Run (Thetford)

South Burlington’s boys cross-country team battled the elements at Thetford Academy, taking on Vermont’s most demanding 5K course in unseasonably hot and dusty conditions. Known for its mud and chill, the course presented a new challenge this year with heat and airborne dust affecting runners’ endurance and breathing. Despite that, the Wolfpack showed determination and resilience, with Joe Jackson, Max Frostman, and Jack Donovan all improving on their 2024 Thetford times, and several others posting faster 5Ks than their previous races at Manchester or Burlington. Jack Henry and Donovan also earned places on South Burlington’s Thetford course records list, marking another strong showing as the team prepared to return for the State Championship later in the season.
