South Burlington's boys cross-country team traveled to New York for the Queensbury Invitational, where they faced soft footing and heavy dust on what is typically one of the flattest courses of the season. Despite the tricky conditions, the Wolfpack turned in a strong showing, adding several names to the South Burlington course record list for Queensbury dating back to 2018. Standout performances included Dan Jackson (18:01), Odin Cloutier (18:00), and freshman James Langan (18:54), each breaking into the program's all-time top rankings, with Evan O'Keefe (18:55) close behind. Patrick Donoghue and Quinn Lambert also earned all-time honorable mentions, while underclassmen Joe Jackson and Peter Lyon impressed in their first varsity races. Leo Frank led a JV squad that also included Chase Gurtman, Jacob Suskin, Isaac Margulius, Charlie Smith, Noah Chan, Kellen Sullivan, and Ben Clark, posting the team's only week-to-week improvement by trimming 49 seconds off his Hard'ack time. It was a gritty, resilient effort that reflected the team's growing depth and determination. One of the largest cross-country meets in the Northeast, Queensbury draws thousands of runners each fall and is often viewed as an early preview of the state championship race.
